Due to the increasing popularity and success of DevOps principles for the development and distribution of new releases, quality management plays a central role in different forms. Integrating the security component into the DevOps paradigm - keyword DevSecOps - is quite a challenge. With each update of the code not only the desired improvements, but also new security gaps are added. When implementing security guidelines, in addition to continuous integration and continuous delivery, the topic of Continuous Testing must be actively addressed. To accomodate this progression and reflect the rising importance of quality control we have broken out quality management as a separate, the eighth, dimension in our ASERVO DevOps Maturity Model.
