Migration from Subversion to GitLab

Project Challenge

Develop the next release of an entire IT services platform for clinical development projects:  

• Set-up and run a GitLab pilot and transition it into production.
• Help with the migration of existing Subversion repositories into defined target environments (mostly GitLab).
• Migrate existing ClearCase scripts into the new ClearCase environment and develop according new scripts as needed.
• Prepare accompanying documentation according to the common pharmaceutical documentation requirements of the customer.

• Plans for the GitLab pilot and Subversion migration including structure and tracking in Jira.
• Git and GitHub trainings for users and administrators.
• Advice, technical documentation and descriptions for all Git, GitLab and Subversion migration topics, including Backup & Restore, Upgrade policy ...
• Deep analysis of all existing Subversion repositories to classify them for the migration.
• Scripts for repository analysis, monitoring and migration.
• Migrated and new Clear Case scripts and triggers.
• Support for all GitLab environment issues.
• Update Strategy for GitLab.
• Documentation according to customer requirements.

Rough Roadmap: Two different sub projects and three ongoing activities supplementing sub projects.
